چکیده

Due to its excellent strength, plasticity, and fracture toughness, titanium alloy has been widely used in the aerospace field. The specificity of application environment places high demands on surface quality alloy. In this paper, we study effects different lubrication methods microscopic topography, roughness, microhardness TC21 during milling process. include dry, high-pressure air cooling, minimum quantity (MQL). Compared with dry cooling conditions, MQL can effectively suppress plastic deformation defects TC21. is significant for improving process addition, a roughness model considering vibration developed. According results orthogonal experiments, prediction accuracy acceptable, errors are all below 20%.

Study on tool wear and surface roughness in end milling of particulate aluminum metal matrix composite: Application of response surface methodology

Metal matrix composites have been widely used in industries, especially aerospace industries, due to their excellent engineering properties. However, it is difficult to machine them because of the hardness and abrasive nature of reinforcement elements like silicon carbide particles (SiCp).In the present study, an attempt has been made to investigate the influence of spindle speed (N), feed rate...

Influence of Milling Conditions on the Surface Quality in High-Speed Milling of Titanium Alloy

The study was focused on the machined surface quality of titanium alloy under different milling conditions, including milling speed, tool rake angle and cooling method. The surface quality was investigated in terms of residual stress and surface roughness. The results show that the compressive residual stresses are generated on the machined surface under all milling conditions. The compressive ...
